This is a nice older writer that has been totally refurbished and has a shimmed lower depth of stroke. if you are a student and want to start with a professional machine that can display notes and English, then you might consider the 6000LX. It does have a floppy drive that can be used as a backup in a professional setting. You can use the Apieron CAT software that we give you for free or download the open source product, Plover. This writer also works with any other CAT system like Case Catalyst, Eclipse or DigitalCAT.
