The ProCAT Flash is very similar to the Stentura 6000, with the difference being the Flash has a PCMCIA card instead of a floppy disk and has better battery life.  Students might want to consider the Flash as an alternative to other writers that display steno on the screen. This writer that has been totally refurbished and has a shimmed lower depth of stroke.   You can use the Apieron CAT software that we give you for free or download the open source product, Plover.  This writer also works with any other CAT system like Case Catalyst, Eclipse or DigitalCAT.
